Our guide, Josemar Andrade was OUTSTANDING. He was knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating and flexible. He was SO attentive to my celiac needs, I had no worries and plenty of healthy fresh food to eat ar every meal. He is the best guide we have ever had with no doubt.

"The scenery and trails were amazing. We liked the variety of different trails that gave us the flavor of the different areas of the island. The weather was phenomenal.
The people were some of the most friendly we have encountered and the island vibes were very enjoyable.
We enjoyed all of the accommodations. Solar Windelo had a nice large room and great view but an uncomfortable bed. Casa Amadeu had another fantastic view with a nice host and nice home cooked local food. It had a very small bathroom. Panoramica had a fantastic hostess and a fabulous set menu. Casa Tembla had a lovely large room, comfortable bed, a nice courtyard setting for breakfast and a great location on the seaside.
Jocema was our driver in Mindelo and was fantastic. Friendly, professional and very informative. He is highly recommended to take first class care of your clients.
Cusinha d’ terra was very close to Solar Windelo and had excellent food as well as the best ambience and lovely gentle local live music. A must for future clients.

You can enjoy a lively start and end to this walking trip in the city of Mindelo, a great way to emmerse yourself in the local culture from day 1! It is then on the island of Santo Antao where the real hiking begins. And what a contrast of landscapes! From arid, desert-like mountain trails to the lush green valleys and tropical crops. The hikes can be a little challenging in parts but we've said it before, and we'll say it again, the swimming pools at the accommodations are a god send!
