  . Car with manual transmission (for an automatic, please contact us) including unlimited mileage, theft insurance and PAI (personal assistance insurance) with a liability that varies according to the category. Additional insurances to reduce this liability are not included, see below.

  . Island of Corvo: transfer from the port to the crater summit: 5€ per person - to be paid on the spot, cannot be booked in advance
  . Island of Flores: between 20€ and 35€ per trip depending on the accommodation (Faja Grande or Santa Cruz)

• CAR RENTAL
  . The fuel for the rental car and optional additional insurance
  . A deposit of 700€ by credit card is required at the time of the vehicle pick-up.
  . Without additional insurances, the excess in case of damage is: Cat C = 700€ - Cat D = 900€ - Cat J = 1700€.
  . To reduce the excess to 100€, add a supplement of: Cat C and D= 16€ / day - Cat J= 34€ / day. This insurance also covers damage to windshield, tires and rims.
  . Additional driver: from 5€ /day
  . The driver must be at least 21 years old and have a minimum 1 years’ driving experience. For young drivers between 21 and 23 years old, there is a supplement of 20€ / day.
  . Pick-up and drop-off out of office hours (before 9am and after 7pm): 30€
  . GPS / SAT NAV rental: 10€ / rental day

IMPORTANT TO KNOW

• Hotel capacity on Flores is very limited. Most of the offers consist of rental houses and there are very few hotels. In summer from June to August, demand is high, and it can be difficult to find availability. We advise that you ask us as soon as possible.
• If you opt for the Aldeia da Cuada accommodation located in Cuada, 5 min by car from Faja Grande or 40 min on foot: we advise you to park your rental car in the village of Faja Grande which is the central arrival point for the 3 proposed hikes.
• If you choose the Inatel Flores accommodation in Santa Cruz, you will need a return transfer for each of the 3 proposed hikes.
• Self drive : Although the tours offered on Flores are one-way, we have included for your comfort a rental vehicle that will allow you to move around the island and continue exploring in case of bad weather. This also leaves you the choice not to hike and instead, enjoy all the hidden wonders of the island by car.
