Why visit Burgundy?

Easily accessible from Paris (1h30 to Dijon), this is a peaceful and relaxing getaway. Arriving in the bustling city of Dijon, the capital of the region and famous for its mustard, a short transfer takes you into the heart of the countryside and the famous vineyards such as “Côte de Nuits”, known for its rich reds and “Côte de Beaune”, known for its whites. Burgundy is an agricultural and wooded region of France, with 31% of the territory being forest and 20% meadow, there are plenty of pretty, rural villages full of character and warmth to explore and many canals and rivers that pass through. With regards to farming, it is mainly cattle although Burgundy was once renowned for snails. The Burgundy snail is now an endangered species and only a few local producers remain.
