Walking and cycling holidays in France

France offers a huge range of cycling holidays and walking tours. The landscape changes considerably from North to South, from the coastal towns to the rural countryside villages, from high snow-capped peaks of the Alps and the Pyrenees to sweeping plains and infinate skies. It is a territory rich in culture and heritage, proud of its world famous cuisine and exquisite wine.  France is also our homeland and we are the local specialist with expert knowledge of walking and cycling holidays, the best places to sleep and most mouthwatering places to eat ! We seek to seduce our clients with the colourful Provence, the shimmering French Riviera, the medieval Dordogne and the wild and unspoilt Corsica by creating self-guided walking and biking holidays in some of our most loved locations.

The most beautiful place for walking and cycling holidays in France : Provence

Our office is based in Avignon, in Provence, easily one of the most picture postcard regions in the country. Think olive groves, cherry orchards, vineyards, rows of lavender and fields of sunflowers ; the landscape that influenced the brush stroke of Vincent van Gogh. Enjoy walking and cycling holidays in France through this idyllic scenery, the starting location always easy to access by train or bus or with a private transfer. You then spend your days walking or cycling from hotel to hotel, following our self-guided route notes, enjoying the view, the food, the wine and the French way of life.

Where do we offer self-guided walking holidays ?

Initially focused on Provence and the back country of the French Riviera, over the last few years we have spread our wings and headed north, and much further north again, headed to the south west and then delved deeper into the French Riviera to create a wide range of self-guided walking tours.

We headed slightly north to the Vercors, basking in our love of the alpine landscape, the fresh mountain air, the wilderness and rewarding hikes. We also headed even further north, to the opposite end of the country in fact, to the delightful Normandy to offer easier walking tours engulfed in history. Our love of perched villages, majestic castles and of course delicious food & wine sent us south west to the Dordogne where we spent many a happy hour out on the trails, admiring the chateaus along the river, hiking through chestnut forests and exploring troglodyte villages. And, just as with our Provence tours, we found the right suppliers to work with (hotels, guest houses, taxis etc..) whom we trust to take good care of you during your trip.
