About the Provence day trip: Mont Ventoux hike - Challenging

Day trip info

• This is a FIXED rate, from 1 to 4 participants maximum with 1 private guide
• We confirm the private tour within 7 working days (subject to availability)
• From Monday to Saturday 

The walk

• The walk is 14-19 km long in total, and you can expect up to 6 hours of walking time along the trails. There is a 2-2h30 sustained climb to reach the summit from the Mont Serein campground.  
• The paths are well-worn but are rocky: in some places the paths have eroded and you may need a carefully placed hand to help balance. 
• Hiking experience on mountain trails is necessary. 
  This hike is not suitable for those subject to fear of heights

The program of the day 

• Start of the day: 9AM in Mont Serein
• Loop Walk - Mont Serein > Mont Ventoux > Mont Serein
  . Short option : 5 hours  - 13 km / 8 miles-  Ascent: +650m/ Descent: -600m
  . Long option : 7 hours  - 22 km / 13.6 miles-  Ascent: +650m/ Descent: -650m
  
• End of the day : around 6PM in Mont Serein

INCLUDED

• 1 picnic or restaurant lunch
• A local private English and French speaking guide during the day tour

• Your transfer to the start / end of the walk

• Entrance fees - Items of personal nature

DO NOT FORGET TO BRING -  You will need:

• Small backpack (30 liters is a good size) 
• Bottle of water
• Sun protection (hat, sun cream in summer; fleece or jacket in spring & autumn)
• Wind/Rain jacket in case of wind or rain that can be stored in your backpack 
• Runnning shoes or hiking boots (ankle support is recommended if you aren't used to rocky trails with your running shoes)
