Portugal is the ideal place for a cycling trip. Located on the most western point of Europe, facing the north Atlantic Ocean, the country boasts a great climate all year round. We think that one of the best time frames to plan your Portugal cycling tour is either from early March to late June when the flowers are in full bloom and it is warm without being uncomfortably hot or from September to mid- November when you can enjoy an Indian summer and some autumn warmth. Cycling Portugal is a real pleasure. The roads are nicely paved and can be fairly quiet and drivers are friendly towards cyclists. It’s a great way to discover the country with its idyllic beaches, rolling hills, olive groves and colourful villages.
