"  The trip highlights for us  : Caldeiro Verde´s walking. Climbing to Monte Ruivo would be surely wonderful but unfortunately was raining the whole day and the visibility was zero. 25-fontes trip would be also very nice without other thousands of hikers as we.
The roadbook´s explanations were good and enough when using at the same time the GPS´s tracks.
The tour in Funchal last day "Food on foot" was a very pleasant surprise. From the information received we could´nt expect to do a four hours promenade in the town, tasting fine aliments and wines and getting very good explanations about them from Leonor, an excellent guide.
Finnaly, we must praise the excellent service of transfers (Manuel Spinola) and particularly his driver José who was always ready at time and prompt to help us."

'Easy hikes and epicurean delights' is how we sum up this trip and that pretty much says it all! The longest walk is 4h30, whilst the others are around the 2h30 mark. Nothing too strenuous but all walks are beautiful and allow you to explore the diverse landscape of the island and we introduce you to the locals at the farmer's market, the family-run cheese dairy and the wine expert, adding a cultural depth to your walking tour. And the food... well, you certainly won't go hungry!
