About the Provence day trip: walking in Gigondas vineyards - Moderate

Day trip info

• This is a FIXED rate, from 1 to 4 participants maximum with 1 private guide
• We confirm the private tour within 7 working days (subject to availability)
• From Monday to Saturday 

The walk

• The walk is 12 km long in total, and you can expect up to 4 hours of walking time along the trails. 
• The paths are well-worn but rocky: you can choose to wear walking boots but trail runners are sufficient if you're used to walking on uneven surfaces. You can expect a sustained climb from the village of Gigondas and up to the Dentelles ridges (up to two hours of climbing). The path does not approach the cliff edge. There are a few steps along the ridges where you may need to use your hands for balance (light scrambling). 

The program of the day 

• Start of the day: 9AM in Gigondas 
• Loop Walk - Gigondas > Gigondas
  4 hours - 12km / 7.4 miles-  Ascent: +450m/ Descent: -450m
• End of the day : around 5PM in Gigondas

• 1 wine tasting ( on opening days) 
• A local private English and French speaking guide during the day tour

• Your transfer to the start / end of the walk

DO NOT FORGET TO BRING -  You will need:

• Small backpack (30 liters is a good size) 
• Bottle of water
• Sun protection (hat, sun cream in summer; fleece or jacket in spring & autumn)
• Wind/Rain jacket in case of wind or rain that can be stored in your backpack 
• Runnning shoes or hiking boots (ankle support is recommended if you aren't used to rocky trails with your running shoes)
