Cycling guided day trip in the Luberon

On this Provence day trip holiday, we meet and then begin our ride in the picturesque village of Isle sur la Sorgue, with its antique market, ancient waterwheels, and cafés set on its emerald waters. We bike to the lovely village of Pernes and its 40 fountains!
Along seldom used roads we climb to the village of La Roque sur Pernes, hidden in the hills, surrounded by forests and cherry orchards. The route remains up in the hills, off the beaten-track, with magnificent views of the plains. We reach the village of Vénasque, a village perched high above the valley, and listed among the most beautiful villages in France. We spend time exploring the village and having lunch. Wine tasting on the way in a small family-run wine estate. Return to Isle sur la Sorgue for a tasting of typical delicatessen of Provence.

40km / 24.8 miles - Ascent: +650 m / Descent: -650 m - You meet your guide in Isle sur la sorgue bike shop and start your cycling in Provence
- Depending on our pace, you will be back in Isle and finished by 5pm

- This is a FIXED rate, from 1 to 4 participants maximum with 1 private guide

The ride
- The total ride is 40km, and is geared towards fit riders who are able to tackle sutained climbs (there's very little flat in this itinerary).

- Start of the day: 9am in Isle sur la Sorgue
- Loop cycling ride - Isle > Pernes > Venasque > Isle
40km / 24.8 miles - Ascent: +650 m / Descent: -650 m - End of the day : around 5pm in Isle sur la Sorgue

DO NOT FORGET TO BRING - You will need:
- Comfortable gym clothes are sufficient or you can choose to wear bicycle-specific clothing (bib-shorts and a cycling jersey)
- Rain/wind jacket in case of bad weather or Mistral wind, that can be stored in your saddle bag (recommended)
- Running shoes for flat pedals
- A small comfortable-collapsable backpack
- Sun hat, sun protection (hat, sun cream)
