Portugal walking and wine : Porto wine trails and Douro river cruise - guest reviews

"  We had a great vacation in Portugal. Lea did a wonderful job putting together the perfect intinerary..it was a great balance of walking and culture. Intura was so accommodating. We would not recommend the cruise we took up the Duro Valley to Porto. There was no shade provided on the top deck – very hot, with plastic chairs for seats. The meal was horrible, no information provided below could not be heard downstairs. But apart from that everything was wonderful."

This itinerary can be classified as “slow travel”. It’s all about taking your time and enjoying nice, easy walks through the Portuguese vineyards and wine estates, learning about and tasting the famous Port wine and becoming a bit of a wine expert, a connoisseur, if you will!

The best way to explore and discover the Douro region is, without a doubt, on the water and this trip includes not one, but two cruises along the river and one lunch on deck. It doesn’t get much slower than that!

We also take you to Porto, a timeless city with beautiful baroque monuments and a maze of streets for you to lose yourself in. If you can’t get a late flight home, then it’s worth staying an extra night to make the most of everything this city has to offer.
