Cycling on the wine roads of Provence - guest reviews

Yvonne & friends - July 2022

Loved the accommodations. We were very thankful for air conditioning in all the locations.
les Remparts did not know we had booked dinner but they honored the reservation and provided an excellent meal. They also were later opening for breakfast than we had been told. Again they went out of their way to accommodate us once they understood that we wanted to leave earlier than expected.
Special thanks to Maria and Andreas in Chateauneuf du Pape for opening their pool to our friends who stayed at the Wine B&B. Their pool and outdoor space was a highlight of the trip. Simply beautiful.
The people we met in Provence, the B&B owners, the shop owners and the guides were fantastic. Everyone was quick to offer us cold water and make us feel welcome.
What were the trip highlights for us ? So many! The great accommodations. Riding through the lavender fields as they harvested. The smell of lavender. Great wine. Loved the wine tour with Mike. Cool swim after long days in the hot sun. Should also mention Philippe who brought us the bikes in Avignon. He was great. We had two novice riders and he did a great job introducing them to the bikes. Loved the bikes. We have our own bikes so we know what to expect. The ones provided made the riding very enjoyable.
Thanks for setting up this trip for the six of us. So many good memories were made. "

Garon & Kathleen - May 2022

"We used the road books mostly for info on the towns we went through. We kissed the Strava maps mostly for directions. BB Maria and Andrea in Chateauneuf was the nicest accommodation. A little outside of town but beautiful. Romain was a great guide ( wine tour in Chateauneuf ) : very informative.
The trip highlights for us : The country side from Avignon to Venasque was beautiful . As was Bédoin to Chateauneuf du Pape. My wife conquered Mont Ventoux so that would be her highlife. The trip was great ! "

Nancy & Stephen - Sept 2019

"Wonderful cycling tour of Provence! It was nice biking on quiet roads with beautiful scenery. I loved the e bike!I wish we stayed more then one night in each place. The places were unique. Our hosts gave wonderful restaurant recommendations. Would you recommend us to your friends ? Definitely !"

Sandy & Seth - June 2019

"The routes were perfect. Though I’d rate the ones with more elevation gain as moderate rather than easy. We found them challenging coming from an area without many hills. I enjoyed all of the accommodations (comfort). I was pleasantly surprised.. I did not expect them to be so nice given the 3-star ratings. The restaurants included in St Remy and Chateauneuf du Pape were the best meals of our trip.
I loved the trip! It was a perfect way to see Provence. I am looking forward to another cycling vacation. I would highly recommend you to my friends! Though I think our next trip will be it another country."

Matthew & Sarah - June 2019

"Villa de Margot (in Avignon) had the best breakfast. The trip highlights were riding Ventoux, beautiful backroads riding around Provence. The hotel in Bedoin was more of a dormitory but the people were nice and the breakfast was good. We would travel again with Intura. We had a wonderful time, thank you."

William & Marcia - May 2018

"We really liked the equipment including the day pack boxes, paniers, and especially the bikes. Well matched to the types of roads we were on. We will reccomend you to friends."

Joseph & Jennifer - September 2017

Throughout our trip, the proprietors were accommodating with any requests that we had and they had secure storage for the bicycles.
We also enjoyed the fact that two of the properties had bathtubs for soaking after long rides. T
he bikes were good mechanical condition with more than anticipated storage or carrying capacity. Overall, a memorable trip, made much more pleasant by the many attention to details provided by the company, allowing us to focus on the cycling and sightseeing. We would certainly recommend it to friends"

Shir & Noga - July 2017

" A fantastic trip! Everything was so simple, well planned and accommodating. We already did recommend you to our friends! "

Mark & Elizabeth - June 2017

" The gorges de la nesque was especially beautiful. Marie at BB La Villa de Margot was utterly wonderful and sweet. Hotel les Remparts had a great restaurant. We were happy to eat there twice. Thanks. Your support was great. The bikes were great and we are definitely interested in coming back again in the future."

Robert, Junith & friends - May 2017

"The Nesque Gorge bike ride was beautiful and within everyone's capabilities. Avignon was enjoyed by all. Generally cycling through the countryside of Provence on quiet, good quality roads and having picnic lunches. Nadia and others at agency were very responsive to our requests for information, choice of routes, hotels, bikes, taxis - and alternate plans when Junith broke her wrist a few weeks before the trip. The trip was very well organized, hotel bookings went as planned and all the taxi bag transfer was on schedule. Intura knows the good service providers and the area very well. We would travel again and certainly recommend you to friends."
