Morning transfer 0h20 to the start of your loop walk from Lac Blanc the hike takes you through four of the most iconic lakes of the Vosges: Lac Blanc, Lac Vert, Lac du Forlet and Lac Noir. The trail alternates between forest paths, rocky climbs, airy ridgelines and peaceful lakeshores, offering constant variety and superb views throughout the day.You’ll walk across the Gazon du Faing plateau, enjoy panoramic viewpoints, and pass through traditional mountain chalets before returning to Lac Blanc.  Transfer to Munster  your base for the next two nights.

This circular hike starts near Auberge du Ried and follows well-marked trails through forests and upland pastures to the summit of Petit Ballon (1,272m) — one of the most iconic peaks in the Vosges. While slightly lower than the Grand Ballon, the region’s highest point, Petit Ballon offers uninterrupted views over the Alsace plain and surrounding mountains. The descent passes several traditional farm inns and historical landmarks before returning to the start via quiet woodland paths. A varied and rewarding mid-mountain hike. Upon returning to Auberge du Ried, be sure to enjoy a classic local blueberry tart — a perfect way to conclude your day. Afterwards, a taxi transfer will be arranged to take you back to Munster for your final night.
