Brittany has a mild and changeable oceanic climate. There is sunshine, but it is often shared with clouds. Rainfall is frequent throughout the year, but generally short and followed by sunny spells. Winds are common, blowing mainly along the coast and bringing a feeling of coolness, even in summer.
• Spring: Mild and humid, with longer days and pleasant temperatures.
• Summer: Temperatures remain moderate (rarely above 25°C), perfect for long walks. Mornings and evenings are often cool, with morning mist on the coast.
• Fall: A mild and colorful season, with flamboyant landscapes. Rainfall may be more frequent.

The currency is the €uro. Please ensure to have some cash with you as there aren’t always ATM machines in small villages. Tips are always included (different than in Canada and USA) but always appreciated. Please note that many restaurants in France do not serve food all day Many shops are closed on Sundays, supermarkets are usually open until midday

What is the best month to visit Brittany for a walking tour?
May to September is the best time to visit Brittany. The season is warm, but it is always recommended to bring warm layers and a rain jacket as the weather in Brittany can be full of surprises.
Whats is the walking level in Brittany ?
The hike is of easy to moderate level. We walk on long-distance footpaths along the coast, with a slight elevation gain that can range from 200 to 400 metres at most.
Do you offer hikes on the "Sentier des Douaniers": Customs Officers’ Path ?
Our itineraries naturally follow the Customs Officers’ Path, which runs along the Breton coastline for 1,700 kilometres. We retrace the steps of the customs officers who, until the early 20th century, patrolled the trail in search of smugglers.

Brittany is renowned for its exceptional birdlife and its colonies of migratory birds. Off the coast of Perros‑Guirec, on the Sept-Îles archipelago, lies France’s largest bird reserve: puffins, northern gannets, crested cormorants, and little auks.
