Arrive in Chalon sur Saône, ideally by train from Paris just under 2h via Dijon, the gateway to Southern Burgundy. Stroll through its charming historic centre, visit the Nicéphore Niépce Museum, or unwind at a riverside café. If it's Sunday, explore one of the region’s largest markets, filled with fresh produce, local cheeses, wines, and artisanal crafts—a perfect taste of Burgundy.

Night : Chalon sur Saône
You cycle along the tranquil Saône River, following an easy, scenic route toward Tournus, a charming town famed for its Romanesque architecture. Enjoy the flat terrain, with plenty of chances to pause and soak in the picturesque landscapes. Upon arrival, wander Tournus’ quaint streets or visit the impressive Saint-Philibert Abbey, a masterpiece of medieval history.
Follow the Voie Bleue bike path on a peaceful, flat ride from Tournus to Mâcon, nestled along the Saône River, Mâcon charms with its vibrant market, scenic river views and rich history. Explore landmarks like Saint-Vincent Cathedral, or unwind at a café savoring local food and wine.
