46km/28,5 miles - flat - You leave Arles and head south towards the vast expanses of the Camargue. Horses, ponds, bulls, rice fields and reeds: the landscapes do not deceive, you are here in the middle of the Camargue! You will discover the great wilderness of the Camargue with its large lagoons, its pink flamingos, and its ponds as far as the eye can see.
The Vaccarès - from the Latin "vaccarum regio" (country of cows) - vast pond of water covers to him only one third of the extents occupied by the ponds of Camargue. The National Reserve of Camargue was created in 1927 to protect animal and plant species.
This Food & Wine half-day tour offers the perfect combination of food, wine and sightseeing. It will please every food and wine lover !
You meet local artisans and taste regional products (small groups of max 8).
- From 9am, you embark on a 3h30 tour of Avignon with your guide exploring the picturesque parts of the town and learning about culinary traditions and local history, from the oldest bakery in town to the best chocolate maker. At the end of the tour, we end with a tasting of a Châteauneuf du Pape wine, the region’s most prestigious wine.
- The tour includes approximately 10 tastings (food, olive oil ..) and a wine tasting.

- You meet the chef at 9h30 at the covered market in Avignon to gather all the food for your cooking class.
You then walk to the restaurant and assist in cooking a typical 3-course Provençal meal (starter+ main + dessert)
