Freewheeling & cycling through the Luberon and lavender fields - guest reviews

Jennifer & friends - Sept 2023

" Surprised at how empty the roads were in Luberon. The scenery was beautiful and the bikes made it so much more enjoyable.
Would you travel again & recommend Intura Travel : Yes very reasonable and Liked picking own restaurants. We liked traveling by ourselves."

Roy & Aileen - Oct 2022

Both hotel & B&B were wonderful. Bernard and wife so welcoming and interested. Lovely routes, beautiful old villages, not too many tourists in October, fabulous autumnal scenery and colours. Restaurants, hotel, B&B, all their staff and generally everything. Many thanks "

Graham & Catriona - October 2022

Description of the points of interest and cafes / restaurants are very good. We had a nice meal at La cour d'Honneur. Meal in Bonnieux at La Flambee was very good. We were accommodated in the bar area as they were busy. It would be worth asking for a table in the restaurant area for your other guests. Advise other cyclists to book their meal early as the town was busy and restaurants full.
Average temperatures and weather for the time of year so we knew what garments to bring.
Would you recommend us to your friends ? Yes, and recommend the company
Well done Nadia on providing us with a great holiday"

Jaime - Sept 2022

"Absolutely enjoying the entire trip! Loved the sceneries, routes, villages and towns , everything! Had dinner at the hotel restaurant at Hotel Le Cesar. Absolutely loved the food! Delicious and nicely plated . Totally beyond my expectation.
It was my first solo travelling, first bike trip, first visit to France. I did have reservations whether I could survive this trip all alone, not speaking French, whether I would enjoy the trip etc . Some unexpected surprises made the trip truly unique, adventurous and experimental - exactly what I was hoping for a holiday! Not forgetting the itinerary was well planned.
Lastly I would like to make special thanks to Nadia who has been very helpful and initiative right from the beginning when I first wrote in to make enquires. She was always prompt with her responses, helped to customize the itinerary, gave me valuable advices, made arrangements to my last minute changes, and ensured I was well taken care of until the end of my trip. Truly a reliable person."

Customized walking & cycling holiday
"The scenery was excellent. The climbs up to most of the towns was quite challenging for those on a regular bike. (Me !). We decided to rest on day 3, rather than take the walk on the mountains, partly due to the length of the walk, and also due to the arrival of the Mistral, which was very strong that day. The communication from your company was very good.
The trip highlights for us : travelling through the minor roads an d lanes which were lovely and quiet an d passed through orchards, and vineyards.
Thanks to Nadia for excellent guidance and communications. "

Customized walking & cycling trip
" Overall the roadbook directions were very detailed and helpful. We loved our version of the Crest of the Apilles hike. We rode our bikes to and from St Paul de Masole versus hiking back and forth from town (as we had done this the day before and preferred not to do it again); thankfully we still had them at our disposal. Instead of staying lower on the track at the beginning we followed a hiking App called AllTrails (popular in the States) and climbed up to Mount Gassier (the stairs and ladders were fun and exciting) and continued on to Rocher de 2 Trous. From there we followed the crest route back to town counterclockwise. It was a long hard day but and epic adventure.
We have used other self-guided trip companies for walking tours in Europe and this one was the best so far !
Would you recommend Intura Travel : Yes we would recommend Intura. The things that impressed us the most were 1) the very punctual transfers - our drivers were always on time or early and 2) also the quick responses to email inquiries."

Peter & Susan - June 2019

"The trip well suited the holiday we had in mind. Both hotels met our expectations (charming). The region around Isle sue la Sorgue was particularly interesting, as was Bonnieux and Gordes.
Would you recommend us to your friends ? Yes, we would recommend Walk Inn to others
Thank you again for organising a most enjoyable cycling holiday.""

David, Tania, Nurit & Lazano - September 2018

" Nadia was very very nice. So are the "bike guy". The places, the rides, recommendations, restaurants, etc. ALL MAGNIFICENT.  Would you travel again with Intura, and would you recommend us to your friends ? YES, totally yes. We want options for next year."

Rachael & Ronan - September 2018

"Amazing food, the Isle Sur La Sorgue is just terrific, and lovely authentic friendly French restaurant. I just wanted to say thanks to the team, you guys were great, very responsive on all queries. Would you travel again with Intura and would you recommend us to your friends ? Yes, I loved it, wish I could have done longer. I would recommend you to a friend."

Judith & Adrian - October 2017

"Rides were interesting and the climbs well-graded. Both accommodations were excellent. We were really pleased with the trip. We were on a very tight schedule and everything fitted in seamlessly. The rides were all really interesting and covered the area well. The distances covered each day were just right and provided the right level of challenge for us. The pre-trip organisation was great with all my queries being answered very quickly and the pre-trip pack arriving in plenty of time for our departure. Would definitely recommend Intura and use it again!"

Elizabeth & friends - August 2017

"We absolutely loved our trip - from arriving in the charming, lively town of Isle to exploring little side lanes and routes along the valleys to Bonnieux. Every town was a gem and the climb up to the villes perchées worth it. We loved stopping at each destination to stroll around the beautiful streets and squares. Evenings were a perfect time to walk and relax and then eat fabulous food at each restaurant we visited. Thank you for all your help - we loved every minute! I would most definitely recommend Intura to our friends"

Jennifer & friends - July 2017

" The highlghts of our trip have been Gordes and staying at les Balcons du Luberon. We absolutely LOVED Les Balcons du Luberon and were sad to leave. I would love to return there and to Gordes. Great cycling experience! The heat wave made the cycling difficult and especially some of the big hills quite challenging, but still very much enjoyed exploring the region by cycling."

Leah & Julie - April 2016

“Isle sur la Sorgue was beautiful town and we loved La Prevote. The meals were awesome at both hotels. Favourite towns for me were Venasque and Ménerbes. Gordes was very beautiful and especially views of it from afar. Venasque was quieter which we loved. We loved our roadside picnics on the way, and the beautiful little roads we rode on. Loved the scenery, the willow blossoms, seeing the farming fields along the way. We also loved that the last day was an easy ride. The bike trip was the highlight of a 3 week trip away and one we will never forget.”

Léa & Susan - April 2016

“Thanks for a fantastic challenge. Our accommodation was fabulous. The meal at La Prevoté was amazing, as was their hospitality. Venasque village is our favourite. You made us travel through the most beautiful countryside, the birds, the views, the history . The genuine hospitality was a delight. This will be my most memorable life experience. Thank you so much.”

Bob & Cathie - May 2016

“We found it all breathtaking: poppy fields, olive groves, cherry orchards, and vineyards. Quaint and beautiful towns with lots of bakeries! People were very friendly. We loved it!.”
